Hassanat Saddiq Habeebullah
EEP Beneficiary 2025 & Mother of GMF Scholarship students
"My name is Hassanat Sadiq Habeebullah and I am a mother of two children, Adnan and Zulqurnain. I learned about GMF, the great foundation, through my friend Zainab Sulaiman after my husband passed away, My children started attending Yusuf Gwamna Memorial College with the support of GMF, covering their school fees and other needs.
With GMF's help, I also received a loan to start a business in February 2025, and Madam Anjali connected me with a charity clinic, who offered me a job every Friday, paying me N4000 weekly ($ 2.5). By the grace of Allah, this has allowed me to support my family, pay rent and handle other financial challenges. GMF has truly made a positive impact in our lives.
I write this with heartfelt gratitude to express my deepest thanks to GMF for their kindness, generosity and support. Your selfless acts have brought relief, comfort and hope to us. We are blessed to have you as part of our family, and we pray that Allah continues to bless GMF abundantly for all your efforts. May He guide and strengthen you in your mission. Your kindness has inspired us to give back and make a positive difference in the lives of others. Ameen.
Long life to GMF, with good health and prosperity. Thank you for being there for us."
"My name is Aisha Muhammad, a widow from Kawo. After my husband's death, life became very difficult for me and my 5 children. I struggled to make ends meet by selling small amounts of firewood, but my daily income was barely enough to feed us all. My two youngest children, Sani and Hauwa, had to stay home because I couldn't afford to send them to public school. The older children received a school scholarship.
Everything changed when I joined the Kumatso SFC group in Kawo. I was able to take out a small loan of NGN 4,000 after 2 months. With this support, I was able to purchase more firewood and expand my business slightly. After 6 months, I was granted another loan of NGN 10,000. This increased my earnings significantly. Today, after almost 2 years of membership, I make enough money to not only provide for our daily needs but also to send Sani and Hauwa to Public school. Seeing them in their school uniforms and knowing they are getting an education brings me immense pride and hope for our future.
I am deeply grateful for the financial support given by the Kumatso Group that has empowered me to improve my business and secure a better future for my children. This assistance has truly transformed our lives."

Habiba Abubakar Ibrahim
Student of Medicine, BUK Kano
"My name is Habiba Abubakar Ibrahim and I live in Badawa, Kano, Nigeria. I am a third-year medical student at Northwest University, Kano. I completed my primary and secondary education in Kano, graduating in 2017.
As the eldest of four children, life has had its challenges, especially after losing my father in JSS3./Year 9. However, Alhamdulillah, my mother has taken care of us.
I was admitted to Northwest University in 2019 for Anatomy, as the Medicine program hadn’t started. After our first year, top students were selected to transfer to Medicine. I did not know how to pay for the fees but I was fortunate to receive a scholarship from Gatan Marayu Foundation and I began studying Medicine in 2020.
Now in my third year, Alhamdulillah, I face no major challenges. Words cannot fully express my gratitude to everyone who has supported me on this journey; their kindness has truly changed my life, and I will forever be thankful. I am deeply grateful for the scholarship, school fees, transport support and all assistance that have allowed me to pursue my dreams—and my father’s.
Thank you so much.
"My name is Aisha Murtala Muhammad.
My father passed away when I was three years old.
In 2025, I continued my education and I am now in my first semester of Level 1. I am studying to become a Public Health Practitioner. Public Health Practitioners work to prevent diseases, improve health, and help people live longer.
During my internship at Utopia College of Health, I gained confidence and learned a lot about my sponsor. It also helped me understand the importance of education and the difference between a low level of education and college. I have learned many valuable things in school that have been very helpful to me.
Studying at Utopia College of Health has helped me gain knowledge about public health. I have learned how to care for people and support them in staying healthy. This education will brighten my future and allow me to help my family and my entire community."

Ma'sud Amino Ado
Former Student at Zenith Intercontinental School, now Painter & EEP Beneficiary, 2025
"First of all, my name is Mas’ud Aminu Ado and I am one of your sponsored students. My school’s name is Zenith Intercontinental School. I started school in 2010, from nursery to secondary and I graduated in 2022.
My school did everything for me. Before I started, I could not read or write, but after going to school, I learned so much. Now, I can read and write, respect my elders and even draw very well. I am proud of myself because I have become skilled in art and if I get the chance, I want to learn even more.
All of this happened because of your help. Since my father passed away, I never thought I would have the chance to go to school and get an education. But you made it possible for me. I am very grateful to you. Thank you so much for everything you have done for me and my family. I really appreciate it and I pray that God rewards you with the best things in life. You have made me very happy. Thank you!" 😊😊

"I’'m thrilled to share my amazing journey with Gatan Marayu Foundation (GMF), which started in August 2009. That moment changed my life forever, opening doors I never thought possible. With GMF’s support, I found the resources and opportunities to discover my true potential.
GMF’s sponsorship has made a huge difference in my life. It didn’t just help me continue my education—it also inspired me to give back to my community. I’m proud to say I’ve been able to support my brilliant siblings in their education, giving them the tools they need to succeed. I am living proof of how education can transform lives and I owe it all to GMF.
Right now, I’m studying Radiography and I’m beyond grateful for the opportunities GMF has given me. I’m committed to paying it forward by helping others chase their dreams. If you’re looking to make a real difference in someone’s life, I highly recommend GMF. Thank you, GMF, for believing in me and helping me become the best version of myself!"

Hajiya Fatima Abdullahi
Member of SFC Group, Giginyu since 2023
“Joining the SFC group in Giginyu has changed my life. In 2023, my son got very sick and the hospital bills were too much for me. The help from the women of the group who joined together to give me money and a loan of NGN 8,000 (about 5 $) were a big relief. Their support and the loan helped me pay for my son's medical bills without going into debt.
In 2024, I was able to take out another loan of NGN 15,000 (about 9 $) and bought traditional fabrics, Atamfa, just before Sallah. The time was good because many people wanted to buy fabrics for Sallah. This helped me earn more money than before.
With the extra money, I expanded my business. I bought more fabrics and sewing items and started selling them from my home. This made me more financially successful and also boosted my confidence as a businesswoman.”
