About GMF
GMF is a local NGO in northern Nigeria, Kano founded in late 2008 with the vision to help make a difference in the lives of underprivileged individuals, especially for orphans and widows.
The Foundation seeks to support orphans and other vulnerable children with improved access to education, as well as enhancing learning outcomes for children in the state.
Yearly over 250 students are enrolled in 13 private schools in different areas of Kano thanks to the Educational Scholarships they have received.

Ramadan Feeding
During the holy month of Ramadan, we embark on our Ramadan Food Sharing program. We recognize that fasting can be challenging, especially for those facing economic hardships. Our initiative provides nutritious meals to individuals and families who are fasting, ensuring that they can break their fast with dignity and satisfaction. Beyond nourishing the body, this program nourishes the spirit of giving and unity, reminding us all of the importance of compassion and empathy.
Blanket Drive
As the Harmattan season descends with its bone-chilling cold, we launch our Harmattan Blanket Drive. This initiative provides much-needed warmth to those who are most vulnerable to the harsh weather conditions. Through your generous contributions, we distribute blankets to the homeless, elderly, and families in need, ensuring that they can find comfort and protection amidst the cold. It’s a small gesture that makes a significant difference, offering not just physical warmth but also a reminder that they are not forgotten.
